Stem cell therapy
Veterinary Stem Cell Therapy
Stem cells are among the most powerful healing cells in the body. They lie dormant in fat tissue but can be extracted and re-injected into damaged parts of the body to help jumpstart the repairing process. We use this treatment option because it goes beyond just treating symptoms but actually helps your pet’s body develop new tissue to replace damaged areas. It is a safe procedure which is easier than performing a spay.
Beauchamp Animal Hospital is located in Franklin, TN and has served families across the area since 1977. Our doctors and staff are proud to care for animals and to utilize state-of-the-art technology within our practice. We know your pets are valued members of your family, so we work hard to provide them with the treatment options they deserve.
Which Conditions Does Stem Cell Therapy Treat?
We generally use stem cell therapy for patients with:
- Soft Tissue Injuries (cruciate injuries, ruptures, tears, inflammation)
- Accelerated healing for fractures
- Osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease, hip dysplasia, calcifications, and more)
Will Stem Cell Therapy Cure The Issue?
Unfortunately, no. However, patients typically experience 1-5 years of relief after treatment. You can choose to bank cells, so re-treatment requires no surgery. Instead, we just inject the cells into the affected area again.
